OFFICIAL SITE OF MINOR-LEAGUE STRUGGLE BUS

America’s pastime- baseball. It’s a game that has been played for over 170 years, and has seen many great players past through its doors like Mickey Mantle and Nolan Ryan. The sport has dazzled millions of people across the world and has inspired children to pursue careers that take them to college and some even get drafted.  Many people know of Major League Baseball and the rich prominent stars that seem immortal bashing homeruns 500 feet or throwing 105 mph fastballs. But what happens before then? Before the glitz and glamour, before the 1st class tickets, or the 5-star hotels? Well some may know; there is the life of minor league baseball. The limbo that is between an amateur player and “the show” (Major Leagues) as many players calls it, Minor League Baseball.  A place where the fun game you played as a kid turns into a job. A job that takes you across the country in a bus that may break down, to hotels that have duck tape on the floor, for a salary that far below minimum wage. Why complain though? A person that has never experienced professional baseball may say “You get a chance at the dream, to make the league minimum $525,000, there’s nothing to complain about.” Let’s take a ride on the Minor League Struggle Bus.

A LITTLE ABOUT THE AUTHOR AND WHY?

I am a currently ex-professional baseball player that currently is looking to finish my bachelors in Business Administration and continue on to an MBA. The purpose of this blog and aligning social media accounts deemed “Minor League Struggle Bus” is to inform the public about the hardships that minor league baseball players face. Providing a educational and entertaining platform for ex and current pro baseball players to share their stories and experiences, along with my insights into my own journey is how I plan to accomplish my goal. I intend to shed a light on the hidden world that is overshadowed by the more prestigious Major League Baseball.
